Every count includes flights to and from CLT: more on directions. A destination is dropped when flights to it stopped or fell below the minimum, not when a particular flight number ended. "Dropped at any point" adds those added and dropped again between the two years, with the years they were flown and their busiest year. Airlines are counted as groups, so a merged airline's flying is counted together; more on how airlines are grouped.
